When someone you love is struggling with addiction, or when you are the one struggling, trust becomes everything. You need a reliable rehab facility with the credentials to back up what it promises, the clinical staff to deliver real care, and an admissions process that removes barriers rather than adding them. We built Surfpoint Recovery around those principles, and we serve residents of Ocean Parkway Corridor and surrounding Brooklyn communities every day.
Our Inpatient Treatment Programs
We offer the full arc of inpatient addiction treatment at our Coney Island facility in Brooklyn. Surfpoint Recovery is OASAS-licensed by New York State and holds a CARF Three-Year Accreditation across both its detox and residential rehab programs, a combination few Brooklyn-area facilities carry. Medically supervised detox, medication-assisted treatment, short-term residential rehabilitation, psychiatric evaluation, and discharge planning all happen under one roof, so patients never face a gap in care between phases.
Insurance and Access
We accept Medicaid plans, including Healthfirst, MetroPlus, Fidelis Care, Molina, and Wellcare, along with Medicare and select commercial insurance. Our admissions team verifies coverage before a patient arrives, at no cost. For residents along the Ocean Parkway Corridor who have been turned away from other facilities due to insurance restrictions, we encourage you to call us before assuming the answer is no. You may be covered and not know it.
Who Provides Your Care
Every clinician at Surfpoint is named and credentialed. Dr. Ramsey Joudeh serves as Medical Director, and Joseph Turkel supports medical decisions as Assistant Medical Director. Vincent Marchese, Program Director, holds an MSW from Fordham University and an Advanced CASAC credential. Alet Coke leads clinical programming as Clinical Director. Nursing staff is on-site around the clock, and every patient entering our residential program receives a psychiatric evaluation within 24 hours of admission.
How Admission Works
Call our intake team, and they will walk you through insurance verification, what to bring, and what day one looks like. Most patients are admitted within 24 to 48 hours of first contact. Discharge planning starts on day one, not the week before you leave, so your aftercare plan is built alongside your treatment. Surfpoint carries a 4.9-star Google rating and is LegitScript certified, two independent signals that reflect what patients actually experience here.
About Ocean Parkway Corridor
Ocean Parkway Corridor runs along one of Brooklyn's most recognizable thoroughfares, passing through neighborhoods including Kensington and Ditmas Park and continuing south toward Brighton Beach. It is a densely populated residential stretch connected to the rest of the borough by multiple subway lines and bus routes. Surfpoint Recovery is accessible from this corridor via the F and G subway lines and the Belt Parkway, making our Coney Island facility reachable for patients across the area without leaving Brooklyn.
If you are ready to take that first step, our admissions team is here and prepared to help. Reach out today.
